Can anyone point me to where the Tour of Britain ride details can be found? The official site gives only the start and finish points and not the route details.

2 of the routes are down my way so I'd like to know where best to pitch myself.

That is all they have released so far, apparently the ceremony was a bit of a joke, but I wasn’t there.

my favourite is the one billed a going from "the north west" to blackpool. definitely worth a ceremony to launch that.

cyclingweekly reported the launch as if it was a real launch and a genuinely exciting moment, and then the following week got amnesia about their excitement and ran a news piece about how the launch was no such thing at all!

It's the same every year though, the national launch announces the overall route and most of the venues, allowing each region to host it's own launch and have a day in the spotlight for it's own stage. I remember last year's national launch there was at least one stage (I think Scotland) that listed a region rather than a specific town, so it's not something new for this year!

To answer the original question, routes seem to be announced progressively over the next couple of months. Know quite a few details of the two SW stages were in Cycling Weekly last week, plus you can see the route on this website.

Both stages look fairly tasty. Going over Cothelstone Hill again this year, but in the opposite direction, and that was pretty brutal last year.

Additionally the Stoke route seems to be on The Tour Ride website, which is being discussed over in the Sportive forum

Thanks for that useful link which is just what I wanted. It leaves me asking why they didn't go straight over Dartmoor. Much more interesting than the Crediton/Tiverton route which rolls a bit but only has one decent hill.
