Hi,
I run shimano ultegra and a friend has offered some fulcrum racing 1s for a price I cannot turn down. Unfortunately they are campag but does anyone know if I can convert the free hub to work with a shimano casette?
If you have had bad experieces with the racing 1s please tell me now before it is too late!
Thanks in advance.

I'd just buy 'em anyway and post on here offering a swap. If not then e-bay them and put the cash towards new wheels
Or you might find this useful :?

Hi,
Yes you can put a shimano compatible freehub on them: check out this link at ChainReaction:

You can have a look at some of the reviews at RoadBikeReview:

Fulcrum is a subsidiary of Campagnolo, so the engineering should be sound. I have a pair of Racing 3's, and they have performed flawlessly over the past couple of years - would heartily recommend them. I swapped over the freehub body too, and it was pretty straightforward.0 -
Probably should have mentioned that i know nothing about this other than what i googled.

Is that the Jim Walker Giro Madness offer? I must say, looks too good to turn down if you're after some quality Italian craftsmanship at a knock-down price.
If he really is your "friend" maybe he'll even throw in a Campag water bottle0
