Replacing Spring on RS Pikes

In the RS Pike manual it says when you undo the allen bolt on the bottom of the left leg to lay the fork down on its side to prevent any oil leaking..... I did this but there was not any oil in there, is this ok or not?

  • its only a tiny ammount.... like 10ml.

    hard to notice really.as long as you kept the forks flat you'll have been fine :)

    So in other words, by laying the forks down to prevent oil from leaking out, you, erm...prevented oil from leaking out??? :roll:
