New Forest ladies ride

OK ladies, as I may not be able to make it to a Wales ride for a few months, who fancies a New Forest ride out?

We'll probably camp in our VW bus

None of us are speed demons or downhill divas and there are still plenty of hills I have to walk

The point of these days is to go out and have a lovely ride with people of a similar skill set (read: slow as molasses)

There is no one slower or more unfit than me, anyway

Sounds great - although may have to rope in my other half to guide as he knows where all the sneaky singletrack is (wheras it's all just gorse and ponies to me...!)!

Something in August maybe? I do know that they have funny minimum booking rules for camping the new forest. If your mister can suggest somewhere good, we'll try to camp nearby

I'm so jealous, I'd love to go cycling in the NF again Me & blokie did Fordingbridge to Fritham a few years ago and loved it. (there was a nice pub at the end so it figures, lol)..but the saddle on my hire bike was an absolute killer *winces*

Hurrah!

As the new forest is so close, we may be able to manage something sooner rather than later as I wouldn't need any extra holiday. It's only about 2 hours from us, even in our 65 split

June is out for me because the project I'm on is due to finish at the end on that month, and we're up in Scotland 5th - 13th July for our anniversary. Go ahead without me though *sniff* I'll be OK....

May i suggest you ladies arrange 2 or so rides, as all of you will never make it too 1 ride at the same time. people have hectic life styles these days

Righty, I have been avoiding this threads, as much as I would love to come along (and boy would I) I really dont think that my squeaker (my bike ) is up for the job (nor my legs for that matter).

Lemme get this year under my belt (and a new bike under my bum) and I will be more then happy to walk round course with y'all

sod the ponies watch out for the cows with horns. We rode there resently and rode alittle faster past these bad boys.

No no no, this is no good.


I promise you, I am not an olympic athlete in disguise. The longest ride I've ever comfortably done is about 2 hours and about 6 miles I can manage 10 if there are no steep climbs.

SJ is lacking in transport right now - and no, i'm NOT cycling there....
