New Wide Range Cassette

Hi all.

I'm looking for a new cassette to give me a bit of help whilst climbing.

I currently have a 12-25 105 casette with an Ultegra groupset. I've been looking around and wondered whether an SRAM OG/PG 1070 11-28 cassette would be any good or if I'd have to convert anything? Also, would it be a much noticable change?

If anyone can offer any advice that would be great.

Cheers.

28/25=112%. So a noticable 12% difference to cadence.

You could also consider the cheaper BBB version:

I am considering one for the Marmotte. IMHO 12 is a better top gear than 11. It's not that I'm spinning out on 50-12...

It should work fine and the difference should be worthwhile.

I have been using the 11-28 9 speed on a tiagra groupset. This came as standard on the 2008 Spec Allez Sport.

I thought there was now an Ultegra 11-28 as well though in 10 speed.
