The pedals and shoes will work together. It all depends on the cleats that come with the pedal. Generally, road shoes/pedals have a three-bolt fixing and MTB/touring have a two-bolt fixing. There's nothing wrong with your choices but it's worth looking at Specialized shoes and Look Keo pedals.0

That combination will be fine. Going by the picture those shoes have both the 3 bolt road fixing and the 2 bolt MTB type so you can use pretty much any pedal/cleat system you like.0

The DHB R1 shoes are fantastic at the price but why waste money on time pedals, take a look at the Look Keo Easy pedal at £29.95, the cleats come with the pedals and they fit the shoe, i currently use this combination and their great.

Why exactly would those Times be a waste of money? With their Q-factor (lateral position) adjustment and spring tension adjustment, they look a much better proposition than the basic Keo's which have no adjustment at all.
Don't get me wrong. I've been a Look fan for many years, but they aren't the only pedal system around. In fact, since buying some Time Roc ATAC mtb pedals for use on the fixed gear I've been impressed with the way they feel with regards to build quality, float, and release tension. My knees are thanking me. I'm tempted to give their road pedals a go when my ageing Looks finally die.0
