I got one! I got one!

So, bright and early, I got myself down to my LBS and had a great time!

I bought a.... Specialized Rockhopper Pro Disc 2008 - and saved a shed-load of cash by not wanting the 2009 version :D

I tried out a Myka, but it just didn't fit right! It's funny, but after my worrying about the fit and difference between men's and women's bikes, it was the men's bike that worked for me after all! I didn't even need to swap the saddle - it was as if it was made for me!

I've left her with the shop to check it over, give her a good going over and swap the pedals round and I'll pick her up next Saturday.

    Congratulations! great bike and probably better spec than the 09 model anyway. My rush is way better kitted out than this years version. Have fun, you sound like your very happy with your choice.

    Congratulations! great bike and probably better spec than the 09 model anyway. My rush is way better kitted out than this years version. Have fun, you sound like your very happy with your choice.

    Im confused here I thought that Men had female bikes and Women had male bikes ( If you had to sex and name them of course in a purely hypothetical way . . . I base this on not wanting to ride a Man :oops: myself )

    The wife fully understands when I say that I am going out to ride the A*se off of Jessica ( My Bikes Name ) But would look at me strangely if I said I was going to ride the A*se off of Jeff ( Male equivalent of Jessica ? Possibly )

    Ladies please clear this up for me or I will be confused all weekend :D

    Right, to clear up the male/female bike name thang.

    Some bikes are (like cars) naturally boys and naturally girls, as Ditch Witch said.

    However... deadliest.... I completely understand your point of view. I can't imagine your wife would be too happy about the 'Jeff' scenario! :wink: And it might make you feel a bit iffy too!

    So, let's turn that around shall we? I can't imagine my girlfriend being too happy about me telling her I'm just popping out to ride the a*se off Dave... :wink::D:wink:
