Just fitted 2 26x1.35 schwalbe marathon plus to my Giant hybrid. Bloody hell that was hard work! Back rim is wider (replaced original wheel) Ended up using a hair dryer to warm up the tyre to make it pliable enough to get on the rim. still thought I was going to snap my tyre levers. I really hope these tyres don't puncture because I don't think I will be able to fit them back on again.

If its any consolation I did the same on my Giant - good news is I haven't had a puncture for five months since I fitted them 8)0

it certainly feels faster than the fat maxxis slicks the bike came with. I always thought 'detonator' was a really stupid name for a tyre - isn't that exactly what you don't want to happen?
I really hope the tyres do the trick, I have been getiing a p***ure every other day for the past week or so. mostly bits of glass, but I even had a 1 &1/2" panel pin go in the other day. The old tyres are like pin cushions.0 -
Yeah the Maxxis were pretty rubbish - I had 6 punctures in three months with mine - I do check the tyres every week though and dig out the bits of glass etc before they work their way through - I run the Marathons at around 60psi - haven't noticed any difference on rolling speed since I fitted them0
