I'm after a pair of top notch bib shorts suitable for long rides of 100 miles plus.
I've got some Assos mille's but I feel the pad is slightly too wide for my liking. Anyone reccomend a similar quality short with a slightly narrower pad ?

I think the Assos Uno has a slightly narrower pad - I have a pair of Uno's (although not the latest S5's) and a pair of Mille's, not a lot in it but it may be enough of a difference. I do find them both more comfortable than any other short's I've tried though.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Never tried Assos but the Gore Ozon shorts are extremely comfortable. My first pair of higher end (+£50) shorts and they are all round more comfortable than my others.
The pad is narrower than all of my others shorts so these might do the job for you.
They got good reviews off bikeradar and C+ and are on wiggle for £76.49.
