Trails around Lyneham

I'll be on a trainig course down at RAF Lyneham at the end on June, anybody got any trail ideas around that area? Just looking for some nice single track, maybe a few jumps, nothing mental. Wouldnt be good to end up in hospital during a training course :wink:

    i take it you're a medic, then! or an air dispatcher... i'm on MAMS at lyneham, myself on a course at Brize. i don't think there's much riding around Lyneham, i tend to come home to Weston-Super-Mare (about an hour away) and ride the mendips/quantocks. Bristol is only about 25 minute drive away, so you could check out some of the trails there. google "bristol trails group". failing that, saouth wales is only an hour away... cwmcarn, afan, etc...

    lol, no mate, I'm an engineer, the RAF are going to 'teach' me how to balance propellers. Its a 4 day jolly. I had a look at the maps and there are some nice woods dotted around the place. I'll probably go and have a quick look in those then go and get p155ed in the hotel!!! :D:D
