Just for everyones info....

I ordered a new cassette from Wiggle in the early hours of Wed morning as I was working late and decided to change my gearing for the Etape Caledonia. I chose priority dispatch assuming my order would arrive on Thurs or Fri by the latest. I received a confirmation email at 08:55 on Wed saying my order had been processed. Great I thought it will definitely be here Thurs or Fri. Fri's post came and still no package so I emailed Wiggle querying their priority dispatch policy. I was told that priority dispatch means that the order is given higher priority over people who don't pay the £3.99 priority dispatch, so it would have been packaged etc as a matter of urgency. Their website automatically defaults to it when you checkout and you have to select free delivery if you don't want it priority. My cassettes arrived......yesterday, 8 bleeding days later. I wish I could have given them a priority payment.

As I have said, beware their checkout procedure now defaults to priority dispatch adding £3.99 to your order. So they can make money for nothing

I've ordered loads of stuff from Wiggle, and always received it the very next day - I always use standard delivery.

    Same with ProBikeKit too.

But how long did Royal mail have it?

I always choose free delivery and get my orders in 1-2 days

its great being only 4 mile from CRC. tho i used the wiggle priority order for a set michelin krylion carbon tyres and a tub of 4:1 high 5, orderd wednesday night and were with me on friday. i usually use the free delivery and sometimes it just as fast as priority delivery.
guys at the post office screwed up on your order, you should be thankful it doesnt happen all the time.

I ordered from Wiggle on Dec 23 - Xmas rush expected - and my stuff was delivered the next day so I think you've been unlucky. You have the Post Office to thank for that imo.

How do you know that? Does the post office never screw things up?

The priority despatch doesn't seem to make any difference- the one time I've used it was pretty much the one time it didn't show up the next day. Same with CRC. Regular post all the way from now on.

the default setting is a bit of a trick on wiggle's part, it must be said. But once you know it's there you won't make the same mistake again.

I'm surprised wiggle were competitive for a cassette though. There are usually cheaper places IME.

There were lots of places that were cheaper but it seems a SRAM 11 - 28 cassette is very hard to come by!!! Wiggle had a load unboxed which arrived in an envelope with a cable tie holding it together. Their availability was the only reason I bought from them so i suppose I should be grateful for that.

I've never had a problem with Wiggles postage.
The priority dispatch comes in handy if not everything is in stock. They will send what they have and post the remaining items when they come in stock.
I think you were unlucky this time and once Wiggle have handed it to the post office there is not much they can do really.

Yes Maddog OG 1070 10 speed. Just fitted it today and after adjusting the barrel for the rear mech seems to run fine with Ultegra 10sp and KMC chain. I meant to add that the only reason I looked at Wiggle was that I got one of their £5 please come back emails so in reality the priority dispatch didn't cost me anything. Would have been nice to have saved that on the cassette tho!

Hope you're not going to tell me something horrible about OG 1070 10 speed....

When Wiggle say the order is processed it will be there for collection by Royal Mail that day, so it looks like a Royal Mail error.

I never use Priority dispatch, 99.9% of the time I have received orders next day, even this week, when 1 of three items I ordered was on back order (which I knew at the time of ordering) they still sent the other two items out, the third gets to me tomorrow. For reliability and delivery times I find Wiggle are second to none, though CRC comes very close. Wiggle tend to be pricier, so I only buy when they are competitive or I have had another £5 voucher. The Wiggle returns policy and practice is superior.

    thought so simmo.

I take back the comment about wiggle not being competitive

£45 is as good as I've seen for a 11-28 1070. I've got the 12-27 and it's a good cassette. I think the shifting is actually a tad better than the Ultegra, and it's a bit lighter too. Some people have mentioned the noisy/clicky running of the openglide cassettes as the chain runs over the 'open' tooth (mainly RED users really) but I've not experienced any problems.

Yes it certainly feels a bit lighter and as you say with a bit of adjustment shifts well so I'm happy!

I've ordered 3 times from Wiggle this week and each time I've used free delivery and each time came next day.
2 of the items were heavy and came via courrier/parcel force
    Excellent service

Ordered few bits on wednesday evening, arrived friday. Then shorts on thursday afternoon and they came today. I've never used priority dispatch, they're postage is quick without it.
I really like wiggles postage times and customer service. Even to the point of paying marginally extra to use them instead of another website, (marginally though!)

I have to say that sometimes it seems that Wiggle have actually dispatched an item to me before I have even thought about buying it.....maybe i've just been lucky tho'!!
