    It's only a 67 / 13 ratio, now if that was a 67 / 12 or 11 I would be impressed

Seriously though how does he set off on that thing, let alone do a 2hrs+ training session on it

    1.21 gigawatts?

    138 gear inches?

Mad as a box of frogs. He must have thighs like tree-trunks!

When he turns the crank, does the bike move or does the earth just get dragged around by the force :D

    I expect a scientific answer  [Yes I know it's a stupid question :) ]

A little of both, but a lot less of one than the other.

If the entire population of China got on a bike made by G.O., however, and started off in the same direction, today would become yesterday and we'd start falling into the sun.

Chuck Norris is a pseudo hard guy with an overly quaffeured beard and a penchant for blithe cable TV action series. What would HE know about gear inches?

I was doing some reading on the 'superman' position, and came across this page

I agreed with its author that this 'superwoman' position looked best, but man it must be scary riding around like that, you must have barely any control over the bike's direction!

He'd make a plan and he'd follow through, that's what Brian Boitano'd do.

The term Internet meme (pronounced /miːm/ - or "meem") is a phrase used to describe a catchphrase or concept that spreads quickly from person to person via the Internet, much like an inside joke.[1] The term is a reference to the concept of memes, although this concept refers to a much broader category of cultural information.

On a closed track it aint a problem.

I think they do a few hundred metres run-up before crossing the line and starting the 1 hour clock, or starting rolling down a ramp.

Looks a bugger to pull away at the lights though. How do you train for 2+ hours without having to stop? Maybe he rides round a disused airfield? It's not road legal either, no brakes! Even if it's a fixie that must be terrifying on public roads at 32mph+...
    ... and no idea ...

 I'm not even sure if I could get that thing moving if I stood on one pedal!!!!
I guess tho once it's up to speed it does get a whole lot easier and he's not going to have to deal with RL etc on a closed track. One other thing........it's gonna be interesting to see him stopping at the end, imagine trying to leg brake a 138GI :-(

I did some checking over on Sheldon's GI calc, at that GI he "only" needs 80RPM to hit 33mph!
