Just wondered if anyone here has purchased / used the Dirtworker washer which connects to a car battery and has built in water tank?
The reviews all look pretty good then they would do straight off their website.
The Dirtworker is advertised in some of the MTB magazines so im sure loads of you have come across it.
Was hoping to get some impartial reviews from you guys pls?
Product just been reduced to £79 inc delivery

I like mine a lot. Sure it's a lot of money but it's very useful, in fact living in a flat in London with no outside space to wash a bike I would say it is invaluable for me so I can wash my bike before setting off home.

Evans sell a similar washer which you might like to look at, I think it is a touch more expensive but has very slightly larger water capacity, a bit more powerful spray (possible not a good thing), wheels (these things are heavy when full of water!) and, maybe most usefully, an adaptor to run it off the mains rather than just a car battery. On the downside it looks a lot uglier in my opinion!

I have one and swear by it.

Works perfectly and does exactly what it says on the tin. Coonections all seem to be of reasonable quality and I have had no issues with leaks etc.

If you do a forum search someone dug up the part number for Halfords when they used to stock these. If you can get hold of that you can ring around Halfords and see if you can find one as they no longer list them on their website but some stores still have the odd one. Why the effort? Mine cost me £24.95 on special. Worth seeing if Halfords have any left that they are trying to get rid of, the one I found wasnt even on display it was just out in a storeroom but their computers showed them as having it.

I have one as well and its well worth the investment if you live in a flat and dont have a nice back yeard with tap etc. It lives in the boot of my car and is used after almost every trip. there is a new version being advertised (blue with wheels) that does the same however has slightly more power. Think its 110psi where the dirtworker is 90psi. saying that the 90psi has not failed to clean my bike yet.

I was looking at this also but have decided to go with the mobiwasher instead. It sounds like the same one mentioned by timmys and dvoodoo. The benefit to me is being able to plug it into either the mains or car so can use it pretty much anywhere.

I had read that Halfords were selling the dirtworker off cheap but that was several months ago - I phoned a couple and they said there were 2 left on their system in the whole country (1 in London, the other I can't remember), however there seemed to be a lot of people who had picked one up in Stores who didnt know they had them . If you found one then £25 is a lot cheaper that 75-99.

Mobiwasher is on Chain Reaction for 89 and LeisureLakes for 89 or 85 if you join their VIP thing for 30quid.

    Hope that helps

I fortunately managed to pick up a Dirtworker from my local Halfords for the aforementioned price of £25 after seeing them advertised on here. I live in a flat and realise that without it I would be screwed when it comes to cleaning the bike, just hook it up to the car in the carpark and away I go! Never failed to clean the bike, really useful to run in a trail centre carpark etc...

With the fact I got it for £25 rather than full RRP in mind, I still believe if I knew how good it was/tried one before the Halfords 'deal' I would of definitely bought one.

    £25 - you lucky lucky lucky mmmm's.
For all of us who have to pay full retail price..im kinda swinging toward the mobi washer now..the extra power on the tyres would be a bonus wouldnt it?
