Ribble Bike Orders

Quite a few Ribble posts on here at the moment but since quite a few of us have placed orders and are having varying degrees of success contacting them about status I thought I'd start another.

Seems like people who ordered after me are getting their bikes but no sign of mine, no replies to 5 emails sent over the last month and no joy on the phone. I ordered a Sportive Racing on 20 April - have people who ordered the same after that date got their bike or an indication of when it'll show up?

Contact your bank I'd say. If funds are taken and no goods delivered within a reasonable time, and Ribble are uncontactable, I'd suggest:

    1. a letter to the business address requesting supply of goods (insert reasonable time) with a notice that should that not occur, and given plenty of prior contact attempts have been made, you'll cancel the order. Do so by the registered post.

    2. when you cancel the order, let them also know also by letter.

Otherwise you could be waiting a while....

Thanks for the replies. I should point out that they haven't charged my card properly yet. I was well aware of Ribble's customer service when I ordered and that there would be a delay on the delivery so my real issue is with their contactability. For a company that is about to go 'internet only' they really should be responding to simple email queries within 24 hours - I'd actually settle for any response. I'm not really in a position to sit on the phone all day either so they would probably argue that I was calling at busy times, hence no answers.

Just trying to get a steer on how other people are doing with their orders.

I've not placed an order yet as I am waiting for my cyclescheme voucher but I have had a lot of contact with them through email, usually same day.

i believe they are having a few problems with their phone lines, i spoke to them this morning regarding a small parts order i made. I brought up the contact problem with them and they said they had moved offices in the building and BT had cocked up the lines, so its ringing out on 'phantom' phone lines... They said is shud be sorted soon hopefully.

Yup - finally got through and had the same excuse. Quite why that meant I have to phone back and not have an answer to my question there and then I'm not sure though.

Update: 2 minutes after my succssful call earlier, in which I mentioned to them 5 unanswered emails over the last 3 weeks, I got an email from Ribble saying my bike will be with me by next Thursday. Hopefully anyone else with an order will get their bike without having to continually nudge Ribble.
