I have change the fork from 80 to 100ml, and now the stiffness is too weak. I inflate to pressure of 90psi (for my weight 63kg, recommended is 90 psi) then the SAG is 55mm. For recommended SAG of 15 to 25%, I must infalte the fork to 120-130 psi, and the "visible" part of the fork is 90 mm.

Is this normal with this fork or I making some mistakes with the setting of the fork? If somebody have some experience with simular problem please tell me the solution?

Tnx

If you have increased travel, you will need to set the fork up again. Deflate the neagtive chamber. Deflate the positve chamber. Pump up until you get the sag you want (forget what the recommendations are). Go on sag.

Set negative pressure to suit your style.

    Agreed with Sonic,

The recommended pressures are a bit pants on both the fork and the manual.

Always best to set it up properly :D

How do you go about increasing the fork travel? Can it be done DIY?

There's a spacer on one of the stantions. The one with the compression daming and stuff I recall from the manual. The 07/08 fork can go up to 115mm and the 09 to 120mm. I'd like to boost mine to 115mm but not sure if that would invalidate the warranty on my Kona.

    Thanks for the info.

I have read the manual (it is quite brief) and i don't recall seeing much regarding travel adjustment, but I'll check again later.

I did have 2 black plastic spacers in the bag with the manual, so does this mean my fork is already at it's max travel and these are to reduce it?

I could of course just measure the travel to see what's what, but where's the fun in that

Two spacers could mean you are at max length. Measure you current setup to see. If you check out SRAM website you'll find rock shox service manuals. These show the steps to remove the spacers.

My new '08 Reba Races came with 2 spacers in the box, the fork was set at 100mm.

I've changed the travel to 115mm by removing one spacer front eh LH leg.

Look HERE for a couple of links on how to do it. Took me 15 minutes and a small amount of 15wt fork oil
