I'm going to be getting a roof carrier for my bike the weekend but cant make my mind up on what to get.
In my local Halfords they have an offer on for 2 of their own make carriers for £75 or i could go for a single thule 591. HAs anyone on here used either of them? Is the halfords one a good deal or am i better off just getting the single thule one.

Thule 591 wins hands down over Halfords own brand.

I have used 2 different Halfords roof carriers, they were crap compared to the Thule 591, which you can get for under £70ea on line, less if you buy a pair, think it's Roofbox.co.uk, or Skidrive who do the best deals

Thule are so easy to use, very well built & excellent customer service. (unlike some big name stores)

Just got two 591s - they are utterly brilliant. Bit of a fiddle on the first fitting but once you have the sizing right, it's very simple to fix to the roof and sticking a bike on takes about a minute.

Got ours from Halfords for about £70 each.
