What sort of riding do you do? Any ideas of type of bike and travel?0

Thing is that is about the value of your Trance frame! So I am not sure for that money you would actually get anything better.0

How about £1000....
Was thinking Commancal or Yeti????http://www.swbikemechanic.co.uk ,SW Bike Mechanic is a mobile Bicycle workshop specialising in repairs and servicing for cycles in the Weston Super Mare and Somerset area

This is the thing with after market framesets - they are really expensive compared to full builds ie sometimes the build is only 300 quid more than the frame!
Some good deals out there though. Not sure anything by Commencal unless carbon would be an improvement.0 -
Thanks for your help, could just buy another Trance frame and build to my spec....

More XC focused, but very light and a top frame.0 -
You've got a good bike for your type of riding, why not try something a bit different. Hardtail perhaps?0

Very nice, was thinkin of the Anthem, but thought I might not feel enough of the travel...
But that 1 is in my VERY short list
plan to build it up over many months, well if the money allows......http://www.swbikemechanic.co.uk ,SW Bike Mechanic is a mobile Bicycle workshop specialising in repairs and servicing for cycles in the Weston Super Mare and Somerset area

Why not build the bike you already have to your spec? Building up a bike from bits is expensive as's been said, even if you're a pikey like me and do it all from sales, ebay, and classifieds it's still pricey. But, I don't care as I just like having something that's all my own, the whole spannering/building/speccing/shopping thing is as much a part of the hobby as the riding to me, as I'm a nerd.Uncompromising extremist0
