Holiday tyre dilema

I'm of to Menorca soon with the wife, kids and the dawg ( hardly mountain bike heaven) I've been before and taken the bike (my old Norco) but have always been unsure about what tyres to use on such dry rocky conditions I have not had any punture previously, more by accident than design. In short any suggestions for tyres specifically for very dry dusty and rocky conditions.
