Jigsaw spotty bikes taking up spare Sheffield stand space

Hello there
It's not that often I get annoyed enough to contact the council, but I found the above company's advertising approach both irresponsible and selfish.
Along Kensington High Street, particularly the top end, there's quite a demand for space on the Sheffield stands. I was pretty disturbed to see on several of the stands that Jigsaw have abandoned bikes to try and advertise their brand. There are a series of grey bikes with white spots with Jigsaw written on them along the High Street.
Now, full marks to them for spotting an opportunity to secure some good advertising space by abandoning these bikes on the High Street, but it does strike me as very irresponsible to take up valuable space on these high-demand stands.
Am I being over the top to be annoyed by this? Is there much the council can do?
What do people think?
Marcus

You could stick some Specialized or Cannondale decals on them and see how long they last.Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.

You could go into 'jigsaw' and tell them people are having to chain their bikes to inappropriate objects because of their 'advertising tequnique', which is more likely to deter cyclists from their store due to the extra hassle the cyclists are being caused, then tell all your friends to do the same. They'll be gone in no time.0

You could use a jig saw on them and free up some space.0

They've taken it out of the stand and put it in the shop... I was there this lunchtime!
Unless there's another one there this afternoon...0 -
I saw three chained to different Sheffield stands - so sadly not!
Council has passed it to the 'General Enforcement Team' - whatever that means!0 -
Huh, when I went past there was just the one on the stands outside whole foods... I wonder if people are using them...0

I'd lock my bike to it and the stand, at least you'd find out if people wanted to use them then! :twisted:0
