Hi,
I am at my in-laws this weekend and need to do a training ride starting and finishing in Norwich. Plenty of countryside that's not an issue but are there any decent hills around as it all seems extremely flat?
Cheers, Dave

need to look at some maps but probably you'd want to be looking north/east ie away from the fens. even then unlikely to be that steep at most rolling.0

Head out to the North Norfolk coast, around Sheringham, there is some decent hills out there, out of West Runton back up to the main road, out of Sheringham up to Sheringham Park, out of Weybourne up to High Kelling, out of Cley towards High Kelling.
Alternative would be to ride up Gas Hill in Norwich about 20 times.
Ask the boys at Streetlife Cycles, there's usually a ride leaving there on a Sunday morning.

In Norwich you've got Gas Hill, Ketts Hill and Mousehold all within half a mile of each other. Head up to the North Norfolk coast and there's more. West Runton up to Roman Camp is over a mile at around 10%, similar is Sheringham to Pretty Corner(A148) Plenty around Weybourne, Cley and Holt although nothing too taxing or long just a bit sharp in places. A good route would be to head up to Holt from Norwich then down to Cley on the coast. Follow the coast road and you can take in some of the listed climbs then carry on along the coast to about Happisburgh then head back inland to Norwich.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

I'm doing my ride Saturday so not to be alas.
Thanks again for all the suggestions, even a couple of hills to break up the monotony will all be welcome0 -

good ride, I'll contest the gradient up to the roman camp though, it can't have been more than 8 I didn't have to use the small chain ring0 -

You're a better climber than me my man, I'm on the 34/25 all the way. I did say that West Runton was AROUND 10%( just trying to big up the ride) :oops:Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?
