Shame - he was doing well in the mountains. A blow for Levi for sure.

I reckon this one could end in a sprint:

I am surprised this thread doesn't have some cynical posts on why he isn't starting as yet..

    Because he broke his collarbone?

Crash for Alberto Fernandez (Fuji), Osar Gatto (ISD) and Filippo Pozzato (Katusha).

Chris Horner apparently tore a muscle behind his knee in the crash...

Don't think I'll bother watching this until the last descent and run in. Looks to be pretty flat in every sense of the word.

So Rodriguez (what a rider) decided to quit at 56km to have his shake:

The GC contenders are biding their time for:

I am hoping to see some interesting descending:

Possibly a crash like this on the last 20m:

And a pretty simile from madmoiselle Basso:

Pictures live now, from RAI, showing that Leipheimer has
ripped shorts (a bit) and scuff marks down his left shoulder and back.

Women's tennis finishes 10 minutes early, yet the cycling still comes on late. I despair.

Have Harmon and Kelly gone on strike?

Why else could we possibly be watching clips of motorbike crashes. Either that or the execs at Eurosport have a rather odd sense of humour.

Especially since the first thing mentioned on the Giro coverage was the death of a moto pilot. Really tasteful scheduling

Levi crossed wheels, just like in Tour of California. He certainly isn't what you call a supreme bike handler.

Sokolov (BBox) had a bad crash. Back on bike but looks to be in pain.

Still, it's nice to see some solid proof that Bouyges Telecom are actually in the race. Sponsors will be happy. Pay rise for Sokolov.

I was wrong about that. :D He hurt his knee. Not surprised as he decked it.
