Both the top, bib short and gloves I have all have had seems become unstitched after less than a year.

Anyone here had the same with Endura clothing?

  • A year is pretty good going...the stiching on a pair of Endura bibshorts I got started to disintegrate after the first wash! Although I'm sure that was a freak occurrence.

In comparison I have a pair of Gore contest bibshorts that took at least 18 months until they started to self destruct.

I guess it comes down to usage, if you're using them every day and washing them too, then they aren't going to last that long.

On my shorts the stitching went in wash as well! This happen after about 3 months.

The gloves have split on the seams and the top the rear pockets are splitting on the seam.

The get used sparingly now as i have castelli kit

If you follow the MTB threads you will find this is not an isolated problem.

I have learnt the hard way and wont touch their kit at all.

    Looks ok but built poorly.

It is not cheap enough to warrant the poor quality IMO at the other end of the scale I have got exactly what I have paid for with Gore mtb kit, it has never let me down.

If you can afford to, stay away from Endura altogether

That's weird 'cos I have a pair of Endura bibshorts whch seem tough as old boots, and comfy too, meanwhile my Gore ones are splitting at the seams and showing off patches of pale skin right where I don't want ... now used only under baggies!
Got them both at the same time, about 18 months ago and they've had similar, frequent use.

Are you following the wash instructions? ie 30 degrees?

I have an Endura blue short sleeve shirt that is about 10 years old that is still going strong. It had a new zip last year but apart from that it's fine. It has been washed once or twice a week for 10 years and stitching still intact :D . It must have been made in the era when quality was more important than quantity. I also have Endura winter leggings I bought last autumn which have been excellent. No loose stitiching. My Endura MT500 overshoes however were not so durable. The stitching on the sole came apart after a month and evenutally I got replacements from Evans but not before getting wet and frozen feet. They are warm and waterproof though.

Think how stupid the average person is.......
half of them are even more stupid than you first thought.

Yup, I wash all my shorts in a separate bag too, which made it even weirder.

It may have been a bad batch, because I had a look at several other pairs of the same shorts when I took them back and the stitching wasn't great on them either. The fabric was certainly durable enough, just the construction that let them down.

What are you lot doing to them? I've never had stitching undone like that, even when using kit for many years. Don't use Endura though (except their overshoes).

Have you tried emailing them to see what they say or might do?
