Presumably the FBD Rás rather than Rás Cymru?

Usually the only TV coverage it gets is a 30-60 minute wrap-up programme in the following week.

Live updates are available from the daily link on http://www.irishcycling.com/publish/news/ plus they have results, photos and stage summaries.
'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'

hope so, excellent race..I rode it 1990, finished in main peloton in what was and is the fastest road stage in Ireland , 32 mph for 80 miles..... stage 1 Dublin to Mullingar...remember it like yesterday...Pat Jonker won a stage in it
  • Here's another live link. It comes from one of the Amature County Team cars and gives a different view http://www.comeraghcc.com/?p=442

I don't have the cap anymore...I still have my GC sheets from that record breaking stage 1 1990 Ras, can send you it if you like...it's Ras history...it was blowing gailforce wind... Ian Chivers won the GC. Stephen Spratt up there,Lonergan...Slane...you name em... It was an awesome race-grateful I had at least the taste of serious stage racing over 9 days.

Do it the other way and it would be faster, any time I rode west it was into a 20-25mph headwind. It doesn't die down till Athlone.
