Trails with bike hire in the lakes

Does anyone know of any trail centres in the lakes with a bike shop on the doorstep like at llandegla. Im heading up there at the weekend with some non-riding mates and thought id have a go at breaking them in.....

    There are two managed trails in the Lakes: North Face trail at Grizedale (near Windermere) and the Altura at Whinlatter (near Keswick). Certainly bike hire at Grizedale, I think there is at Whinlatter too, if not there is in Keswick. North Face trail is maybe friendlier to newbies.

    Note, there is a shop on site at Whinlatter, just not sure if it does hire. They do hire out helmet cams.

    EDIT: Just checked, you can hire Cube bikes at Whinlatter 8)

    whinlatter does do bike hire but its best to book in advance as they get booked up.

    Same with Grizedale. And if you're planning on going this weekend it's probably too late if you haven't booked.
