i was made redundant a couple of months ago and as such something had to go to provide funds to live on, bye bye roadbike. ive got mates that both ride on the road and on the trails so it got me thinking................hmmmm. this is the result,

trek 4300 normal run of the mill hardtail.

now with added 700c disc wheels instant roadbike!

thinking about rigid forks instead of the just about knackered manitous, anyone got any thoughts on the exotic aluminium forks? was thinking about getting their alloy 29er as it seems to be a better length for replacing a suss fork and is reasonably cheap. its all been done to keep me sane while i look for another job so its not meant to be taken too seriously (but it actually works!)
who cares?

Good on you chap, all the very best of luck.

the manitou is a 90-120mm black comp, i might just keep it on and wind it down to 90mm for the road and up to 120 for off road its all just a bit of fun really but ive been thinking about rigid on it for a while though.

the wheels are off a cannondale badboy, on the lookout now for a cheap rigid fork for a 29er and some 28mm tyres.

I've recently put a pair of the Exotic carbon forks on my old MTB. They're very well made, people say they are the same fork as many other branded forks just with different stickers.

Im very happy with mine. very light and stiff, great accurate turning and more than happy to take a battering off road too.
