Northwave shoes

Looking to get a pair of Northwave Expedition GTX's as I need something that I can walk in as well as pedal..
Apparently they are a generous fit ('roomy' as one review calls it) - anyone got a pair? just wondered how generous the fit actually is - sods law I'm a 44.5 in my shoes, so stuck between going for a 44 and hoping they are 'roomy' enough and a 45 and hoping they're not like boats! Really don't want to have to return them as I begrudge paying the P&P costs when they send out replacements!
PS Nearest physical stockist to me (Lincs) is London hence not been able to try on in person!

you shouldn't have to. you just need to work out you reasons for returning them. (dsr's)
i have some northwave mission's and they have been really good. Slightly wider fitting than shimano and I have quite flat and wide feet and shimanos never seem to work for me.
the north waves have been spot on. I can't compare them to much but I have no problems and they have been very comfortable. there is probably better around but i have no complaints....they do the job and they fit my feet....i'm not sure they are supposed to do more than that0 -
cheers jstock - looks like i'm in for a pair of Northwaves then
saw your post on WWZ - ace thread0 -
