Just taken delivery of the new road steed and as ever it comes minus pedals...
I have a set of Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedals that I bought for my mountain bike 4 years ago - still in the box more or less unused...
...can I use these on a road bike?
Other than there ability to shed mud easily I can't see any obvious reasons they are classsed as an MTB pedal and not suited to road use..
any thoughts?...does anyone else use eggbeaters as a road pedal?

They'll be fine. The only problem is you'll get sneered at by roadie snobs, like I do in my SPDs0

bring it on!
thanks for the feedback0 -
the main difference is the ease of removing foot. road ones are tighter to begin with to be more efficient. however, if you tighten the crank bros up they should be fine.
MTB shoes are more practical too. My road shoes are all scuffed!0 -
fitted today and look ace (IMHO)0
