What types of insurance should I consider so that I am covered for most eventalities. I am really considering the likes of:
> Bike Theft Insurance
> Bike Accidental Damage Insurance
> Third party public liability Insurance
> Personal Accident Insurance
> Legal Advice & Support
Cover would need to include UK riding, club runs & sportives. Plus occaisional continental race (Marmotte)
[I currently have my bike insured against theft on my house policy]
All advice/recommendations welcome.

Hi,
The first two are covered by my Halifax home policy. The third and fifth by my CTC membership. I'm not familiar enough with the details to know if that covers you outside of the UK though.
What are you looking to cover with the personal accident insurance? i.e. is it an income if you're unable to work through injury? I think my work covers me for 6 months incapacity, you might want to check with your HR dept?0 -
This is where my thoughts are at, at the moment...
> Bike Theft Insurance
Decided to add to my home contents policy.
> Bike Accidental Damage Insurance
Home contents policy covers - except for when racing. Looking for some cover for the Marmotte??
> Third party public liability Insurance
Considering joining British Cycling (Silver). They offer £10M.
> Personal Accident Insurance
British Cycling (Gold) offers this. Might give this a miss for the time being.
> Legal Advice & Support
Believe British Cycling (Silver) also covers this.
Does anyone join CTC & British Cycling? It seems like they offer a lot of the same benefits.Rich0
