Cube Attention or Specialized Rockhopper Disc

I have upto £600 to spend on a hardtail mountain bike and also very little experience in terms of spending this amount on a bike. I have looked at both the Cube Attention and The Specialized Rockhopper, but i am not sure which one will be best for me. I love the look of teh Cube but the Rockhopper has been round for years and specialized is a well established name.

What would you go for?

The one that suits you best when you try it out.

I haven't paid much attention to the Attention, but the proof is in the sitting on it and riding it - isn't that what everyone says?

And then if they both feel great, pick the one that looks prettiest

Thanks for the reply, I am gonna try a Rockhopper for size in about an hour or so but i was just looking for some advice from the more experienced riders on here as i dont really know the differences in the specifications between one brand to the next.

Your LBS should be able to help on that score. FYI - I'm doing the same thing at the weekend, so if it does feel like a goodun, I'd be interested!

I know the shocks on the Rockhopper are decent - I THINK better than on the Cube?

Ask which they think has the better overall spec and let them know what you want the bike for - if they're good, they should be able to help you!
