Not inclined to ogle other peoples bikes, but that does look lovely!
    WTD:
    Green Halo TwinRail
    25.0mm-26.2mm seatpost shim
    Red X-Lite bling
Specialized ladies BG saddle (white?) 155mm
    RH thumbie
    700x28c CX tyres&tubs
Flatbars 620mm 25,4mm & swept, ti in an ideal world
  • Not sure about the weight. Feels heavier than I'd expected, but other people exclaim how light it is. Got no scales, but could bring out the WiiFit and see what that says (might get a shock though).

Crossride wheels seem OK. Rear is a bit noisy, and only concern is that if a spoke goes, then it's pricy to get it fixed, since they're proprietary. I wouldn't trust them for big drop-offs, but I don't intend on doing that anyway.

  • Forgot about this thread.

Crossrides eventually died. Well the rear hub did. Think it's the freehub seal that wore out, but can't be certain. Basically far too much friction when freewheeling, so the cassette keeps turning and the chain goes slack. Service made it last about another 30km, so relegated them to the shed.

Only changes to the original specs are:
Wheels: now Mavic XM719 rims / XT hubs / DT Swiss spokes / Maxxis Highrollers
    Grips: now ODI lock-ons
