The only parts I'd pinch are the shifters and mechs, but then I'm a Shimano fanboy :) How old are the other parts?

    Wide Monkeylite Carbons? :)

I haven't actually seen the Heckler yet - it's on its way to me. The bars look fairly long. Yes, I was thinking of swapping them over.

I'm expecting the hope brakes to be old. The XT drivetrain parts are all new.

Not sure about Chris King and Hope hubs- these could be old but still worth swapping?

well the CK will not fit.

hubs might but the rims are some OE rims. so i guess they have been rebuilt onto the Hope hubs.

Oh really - CK won't fit? I thought any 1 1/8 headset would.

Aren't the x117 for xc use rather than All mountain?

I wouldn't mind keeping those hope hubs.

Opps yes it will. was thinking of Speshes other frames with the 1.5-1 1/8 integreated headsets.

but still i would be waiting till both bikes are there and you can see what will will not fit fork.

take care you do not end up with two poor builds.

yeah good point - was thinking of swapping the newish xt stuff at least.

Pitch owners say the wheels are heavy and the shocks aren't that great.

I'm guessing the heckler shock is low in travel - it's really old I think - with straight top tube (year 2000?)

So might invest in an RP23.

I've got the Pitch Pro and the sealing on the headset is pretty awful I've changed mine to a Nukeproof so I'd swap the Chris King Headset over for deffinate, the rear hub sealing is'nt particularly hot either so it may be worth a look. Bars a a little on the short side too, i've put 750mm ones on mine otherwise it's been great

Thanks for that Rico - yes I'll do that then if monkey bars are longer.
How you getting on with lack of lockout on your's?
