Which is the better value for money, for what you get?
I have no experience with the campag groupset or the anything campag for that matter so would it be better to stick to what i know with shimano? and the bianchi maybe a bit more desirable and come with pedals aswell.
choice is between these two.

The campag Vs Shimano question comes up all the time. There's +'s and -'s for both. The bottom line is the answer can only be made by you. A while ago I asked the same sort of question ''campag or Shim'' when choosing a new bike. It was a very interesting thread.
However I said to myself how do I know if Campags any good unless I try it for myself? So I made the switch. I can't comment on whether I made a good choice or not because am still waiting for the new ride to arrive.
In relation to your two choices, I think either or will serve you well. If your that torn, maybe the fact you get pedals (£40 saving at min) and IMO (not everyones) the Binachi has that bit more panache about it would swing it for me? But then see what I ride! I can't compare it with anything else yet, but suffice to say it has never let me down, and even though I'm getting a new bike I'm still very hapy with it."I spend my petrol money on Bikes, Beer, Pizza, and Donuts "

I would go for the Bianchi out of those 2. I think they look sweet 8)
Also with the Shimano price increases that have been going on you might be better of going for Campagnolo in terms of future up-grades you might want to dowinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Is this your first bike? whats your budget?SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES; NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS0

Yeah first proper road bike that will be mine. Ive always cycled in some form though, im finding my passion on the road. Originally id had a budget of around 500-600 but now maybe that figure ahs risen to 600-750ish. Depending if im satisfied, personally id take the bianchi just has that something extra about it. I have a few gift vouchers to use at evans aswell, and these days they seem to be quite competitivley priced, how do people find their customer service? Only because my LBS is fantastic. My dads been going there for years, and my first proper bike came from there, and then the one after that, and the one after that. so part of me wants to take my service there. He ahas alot of meridas in at the moment around my price range, how do those stack up?0

That Bianchi is a thing of beauty . . . . . . coming from an Allez owner.
Don't get me wrong, my Allez has been a great bike.Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

I don't know how much your Evans vouchers are worth but I'd try to buy from your LBS, is your LBS a Specialized or Bianchi dealer? You might be able to negotiate a discount of some form and if possible I think it's better to buy the big items e.g. a bike, from a LBS; you sound like you have a good rapport with your LBS already and this can only be a good thing. I'd then spend the Evans vouchers on kit e.g. tops and shorts etc.
Can't really comment on Evans' customer service as the only thing I've bought from them has been clothing over the internet, though when I've needed to exchange items they've always been good.
For what it's worth I'd go for the Bianchi, but then I'm biased as I have one, albeit not a Nirone 7. Can't comment on Meridas - I don't know much about them.0 -
RE Merida
The owner of my LBS told me that Merida own Specialized, and that the bikes aren't that different. Might be BS, but he sells Merida (not Spesh though).0 -
I intend to buy an Allez Sport some time soon, however the Bianchi is sexier..0

my LBS has specialized, Giant, Merida, BMC (way outa my league) and i think has had quintana roo's in the past. probably not a bad idea i am going to need new kit, voucher is 10 or 20% off i think. its at home, not at uni with me.
Going to visit LBS asap.0 -
Definitely the Bianchi. I had a C2C as my frst bike and really enjoyed it. I thought it was great value for money and looks like it cost much more. I would opt for it though only if it is going to be your bike for riding fairly longish distances at a decent pace for the majority of the time. However, if you are going to a lot of TT/racing or short and fas triding I would consider avoiding the C2C. The reason being is that although it is a great bike and can manage all types of riding, the B4P range is significantly more racier whereas the C2C is designed with more comfort in mind. You can climb well in both.
The price of it is unbelievable though - I remember to have exactly the same bike in 2007 cost under £600!!
I would look on ebay as there are a decent amount of Bianchi's at good prices.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Bianchis come up fairly often on ebay so it is worth checking back but here is a good example of a bike. Less than six months old, hardly ridden and has Campag Veloce:
