A friend of Mrs T is doing a dual-a-thon, run bike run thing on the other side of Summer.

She asked me to put slicks on her MTB for the event but I'd rather find her a road bike to train and compete on. She's just done the London Marathon so is a game girl who could benefit from the right kit.

She's not tall at 156 cm or 5' 1" in old money so needs an ickle frame circa 47 cm or so....

Does anyone in West London have a spare frame (I could build it up from spare parts if it's stripped) I could borrow / buy (cheap - cheap I tell you) / have for the summer.

She's also going to be looking for training partners - she lives in Battersea

Did I mention she's a Physio.

And an Aussie?

And Single?

Form an orderly queue, take a number get in line.
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

What would Thora Hurd do?

My spare frame's too big. Try a post in the Classifieds section.

Is there a way to search things by location in fleabay? I could do with a very basic crappy road bike, but a lot of them are Pick Up Only. I did try advanced search but I just couldn't work it.

I think the problem is that she's such a stumpster.....

    I'll have a look around.

If she's in Battersea she could join the London Phoenix mob in Regents Park on Tuesday evenings.

Think once you've done the search you can order the list in order of distance (assuming ebay knows your postcode) :)

try thebikewhisperer.com - the woman who runs it, Corinne, is 5'1 too, and is, I understand, selling off an old road bike of hers. She's absolutely lovely and takes good care of her bikes so your aussie friend might get a bargain or even a hire type arrangement? Worth asking in any case I'd have thought.

If you go to ebay, then click on all categories/sport/cycling/bikes
scroll down and on the left will be a bit saying location with a down arrow. Click on the arrow and up pops a box to put in your postcode and options for distance.

I've been using it recently to try and find a second hand roadie for myself.
