Genesis Core 20 opinions

Hi all
I currently ride a Ridgeback MX5. I got it as an entry level hard tail with disc brakes etc..And I like. However, my mate wants to buy it and I can get another through the cycle to work scheme as I'm leaving the company, but my wife still works there.
As they're made by the same company, the geometry looks similar..
So, for circa £700, I've looked and I fancy the Core 20. Anybody have any opinions on it, or know what would be a beter alternative for a similar price?

You can pick up the Core for as little as £550.
Even My girlfriend said it's quite cool actually about this bike!!0 -
So you like it then????
What size frame did you get and how tall are you etc?0 -
I got one a couple of weeks ago and I'm well pleased with it .
Be nice if it'd stop raining when I'm not actually working though so I can go out to play0 -
I certainyl do like it. Checked out a few others; Specialized Rockhopper, Commencal Combi and Trek 6000. Out of the 3 only the Specialized came close but the forks just aren't as good as on the Genesis.
I got a 17.5" frame and I'm 5'10" bear in mind even if you're a similar height it might not be quite the right size for you.
If you're just starting to look into a new bike, check out the What Hardtail Thread as it will allow you to draw up a list of your faves.0
