Is SRAM Rival Derailleur suitable for 56T?

Hi,

I'm just wondering whether a Rival front derailleur is compatible for a 56 tooth cog up front.

The UK websites don't seem to mention much about the tooth range but the international sites sometimes state different ranges. Has anyone got any ideas on suitability please?

Thanks

    53T max and 16T range.

    it is there.

    also in the manual http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/roa ... __1_06.pdf
"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

It'd be fine, the technical documents are rather conservative.

You'd probably want something like at least a 42t as the smaller ring though....

    I agree on the
    rather conservative
as i am using one with a 28/38/bashring combo!

Thanks nicklouse and redddraggon, that is good to know.

I am going to go with a 42 on the inner ring. Had a moment of panic when first came across the range though!!!

    Hi Simon,

It is a FSA Aero TT jobbie from Wiggle, I believe chainreactioncycles sell the 2009 version which is cosmetically slightly different.

    Hope this helps!
