Hi im caught between a rock and a hard place.
Ive narrowed my bike search down to 2.The Bianchi c2c with shimano 105s and the Orbea Marmolada with campag veloce. Im leaning towards the Orbea but im not too sure bout the veloce shifters. Are they the same as the sora i have on my scott?

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES; NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS

Its more about the frame than the groupset - that would be my major consideration. - I wouldn't buy a bike just because it was 105, ultegra,
I started out with ultegra - then switched to centuar - I am honest I have never really liked it - its a more clunky shifting - some prefer this. My next bike will be shimano - I think you like what you start with, and shimano basic stuff - up to say 105 is generally reckoned to be better than its campag equivalent - its when its gets to record v dura ace that its pretty even.0 -
I'd have to disagree with the above, never heard anybody say that lower end Shimano is better than equivalent Campag. Veloce is similar standard to 105, the main difference will be the shifters. Campag are similar to Sora in that you have the button, but will work a lot better.0

My wife prefers Campag and upgraded her winter bike from Sora to Veloce. She loves it and considers it a very good groupset. We got a good deal from the LBS - beat the online price for Veloce.0

My experience with maintaining bikes is that lower end Shimano is better than lower end Campag. I've found it to be more reliable and easier to set up. This is just my experience but if I was building a bike with a cheaper groupset then I would definately be using Shimano.
Having said that, I would probably choose the Orbea over the Bianchi as I prefer the Orbea frames.0
