I'm in the process of doing the cycle scheme, got £1000 to spend. Think I'm going for the Ribble Sportive Racing, but can't decide if I need a M or L. I'm 5'9 1/2" with an inside leg of 32". This falls right between the 2 sizes as recommended by them. Should I go for a smaller frame,(upto 5'9")or the larger size (from 5'10")? Any ideas?

Smaller should be fine as they have long top tubes, but best to compare geometry and sizes with your current set up

Assuming you already have a bike, how long is its effective top tube? The M has a 55cm equivalent TT.

I was agonising about this a few weeks ago when I placed my order, though for me it was between the M and S. I'm 5' 8.5" but I think I have a shorter than average reach, hence my dilemma. In the end I went for the M. It hasn't come yet but fingers crossed I made the right choice...

I bought a ribble sportive and I am also 5ft 9 and the 52cm frame is spot on. My only mistage was to order it with a 110mm Stem the same as my other bikes, only too find that the reach was a bit much, changing to 90mm sorted it and it is fine.
