Almost certainly taking the plunge this Sunday and buying a bike.
I want to know what else I need to get, my list is so far;
Bike (obviously)
Helmet
Shoes (probably SPD)
Shorts
Couple of inner tubes
Hydration pack (probably a cheap 1L from decathlon)
I already have the following;
Jacket
Pump (Aldi special)
Mitts (Aldi special)
Saddle bag (Again from Aldi)
Multi tool and puncture repair kit (Yet again from Aldi)
What else should I get? Is it worth getting a tech t-shirt (I have some for running and a HH Dry Rided base layer for snowboarding)?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Guys.

Gear Hanger
Rear Derailleur
Brake Pads
Shock Pump

Cheers guys. Plenty of things I haven't even considered.
I won't be doing long rides just yet, waiting til my daughter is a little older and I can get out for a day or two up the Peaks. Until then will be some Eves and Mornings/Afternoons rounf Sherwood Pines.
I will certianly add soem to my immediate buy list and some to my longer term list.
You know, I wish I used Forums before I started snowboarding many years ago, the advise you get is priceless.0 -
with summer coming up i`d get atleast a 2 litre hydration pack if i was you.

Thanks Kopite. I've just had a quick look on the Decathlon website and they seem to contradict themselves on the Rockrider pack as it states on the same page that it is a 2L bladder but then says 1L storage capacity.
Think I best get myself over there and check it out. At £13 it's hard not to be very tempted!
PS was hoping Liverpool would take the title this season, I'm not a fan but they're my favourite of the top 4!!0 -
that`ll mean 2l water and 1l of space for other stuff like tools and food. 1l storage isnt alot though, like you say, best going to check.It`s changed a bit since...
