Sock hunt

No, not the domestic one, hunting around the washing machine, washbasket and under the bed for orphaned socks.
I'm not a big fan of visible cycling socks. I prefer the ones that sit below the ankle bones, along the line of the top of your cycling shoe.
[Feck off, the lot of you. They're not women's socks.]
Where can I get some? In black. Thin as possible.

Ahem, it is fine and looks cool. Just don't have the same colour as your 3/4 baggies. That looks odd.
I normally have on plain black socks from m&s though. I did get Biggles socks for my birthday though.
PS Gregg66, if they are wee socks, the end of the spin cycle can stick them round the rim. Or maybe they are in your gf/wife's sock drawer?0 -
I have black ones - called trainer liners - from Tesco of all places. Bought 20 pairs.0

Feck me! £11 for a pair of easy-to-lose socks! Deyerthinkimmadeofmoney?!
Millets ones look thick. Primark doesn't have an online view of its products.
The Next ones look promising though. How thin are they?
And yes, thanks, I've searched through Mrs G66's sock drawer for them. It's fecking sock-orphan central there, but none of mine have been let into the orphanage.0 -

I'm surprised Primark has a website. Their socks are wafer-thin, almost disposable - last ones I bought were £3 for 5 pairs.0 -
The Next ones (seven pack of black trainer socks for £8 ) are the current leaders.
I remembered why they have to be black. I've ridden in the rain before, and rung them out to find the water coming out of them is blacker than the socks. Not good if they're white.0 -
Hmm I like your thinking but had you thought that it is the dye you are squeezing out of them? Which wouldn't be black if ther socks were white.....Emerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome0

I'm wearing my sandals atm, and on wet days pour about a shot of pure black water out of them when I get changed. And I don't wear them with socks. It's London - the streets are paved with black... :shock:0 -
