Couple of painful ingrown hairs between the numpty and the wumpties - any thoughts?
Hope this doesn't offend anyone, but this is a serious cycling problem!

try a good dose of Savlon, or any other antisceptic cream 2/3 times a day for a week or so, seems to work for me whenever I have any problems in that area :oops:pain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever.....................

got one of these

Then you will grit your teeth slightly and dab some tea tree oil/cream on the area. Doing this is will dry the area out and remove any infection that may be around the area.
However this may not be to every bodies tastes. It is an each to their own.The doctor said I needed to start drinking more whiskey. Also, I’m calling myself ‘the doctor’ now0 -
Wowsers Woody - just looking at that thing makes my eyes water! Think I'll try Rich's suggestion first if that's ok. Thanks guys!Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)

My missus takes great pleasure in removing mine with tweezers. :shock:0

Also find that a good scrub with a stiff bristled nail brush used in the shower stops the problem from developing by keeping the pores open.
Not a plesant subject, but if it gets left it can become really sore. And I speak from painful experience.... :evil:0 -
Thanks Gazza. My misses also strangely enjoys inflicting pain. Asked for help the last time, and ended up screaming the house down (neighbours even came around to check everything was ok!). Rather not do that again if possible!Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)

This is all quite disturbing. Never had an ingrown hair before. And this is a common thing? :shock:0

Yes Tardie. Saddle sores have sadly been with us since the dawn of cycling. Count yourself lucky if you've never had one! What type of saddle do you have / shorts do you use? - as you don't suffer these probs, would be helpful to know - thks!Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)

A body geometry thing(its pretty old), and generally the endura lite padded undershorts. Had to look them up there! I never knew they had coolmax in them. I do have proper shorts, but don't wear them very often...
I always though saddlesores were from your bum rubbing on the saddle. The phrase 'a saddle sore the size of an egg' is now running through my head. Read it somewhere (French Revolutions?) and now it is coming back to haunt me.
I'm off to buy 1) a scrubbing brush and 2) a bus pass0 -
ok, thanks tardie - will look into those.Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)

I have been asked to "find out if girls can get this IMMEDIATELY"
Can they? Lack of numpties and wumpties etc?0 -
Get a big fuck off knife with a sharp point and dig the fucker out.
At least that's what I do...Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0 -
Thanks very much for all the advice everyone. I think I'll change my user name now, and sincerely hope I never get to meet any of you! :oops:Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)
