Planning on riding one of the 'classic' routes from one of the magazines tomorrow up in the Peak District.
Planning on starting from Edale doing a circular route, picking up Mam Tor, Rushup, Cavedale, Castledon etc... Was wondering if any locals could shed some light to expected conditions? Been raining here in the Midlands for last couple of days and wanted to know what to expect!
Thanks

Edale to Hollins Cross will be muddy at the bottom ok towards the trig point. The Flagstones up to Mam Tor will be ok.The singletrack that runs around the flanks of Mam Tor will be muddy,Rushup climb will be muddy,as will the (Peat)track along the top,the descent off Rushup is rocky and all weather. The section across the field to the top gate at Cavedale will be muddy and rutted. From the little gate at Cavedale it will probably still be a stream and the Limestone is VERY slippery when wet. 8)
Typical weather for the Peak.We ride in it all the time, you just get used to it 8)0
