Official sportive photograph? So last year....
I got an email from the organisers the other day saying that the entire Nove Colli granfondo will be shown on the web live on Sunday 24 May at 8.30. Actually that's not quite true because the riders get going at the crack of dawn, around 6.30 am.
But if anyone is maybe thinking about doing this event sometime and wants to get a bit of a taster, it is on from 8.30am to 2.30pm (presumably Italian time) at http://www.tele1.tv
This will probably be a bit like watching the London marathon on the telly: mostly coverage of the front-runners (men and women) of top amateurs and disgraced former pros (Rumsas et al) so tempo will be rather brisk and race-like compared with that of the vast majority of the participants hauling their weight over the nine climbs.
