there's a "Best Buy" logo on the back of the dark green wheely cart thingy, so it's in the good ol' US of A . Best Buy are a N.American consumer electronics retailer for those that don't know, although they now have a 50% share of Carphone Warehouse over here too.

I don't think that I'm allowed to laugh at that first picture.
When I was younger (much younger) I rode my £600 brand new bike to the local supermarket and made the unbelievably stupid mistake of locking it to some railings by putting the D-lock around the seatpost. In a further bid of stupidity, I then removed the saddle/seatpost. I then did my shopping without a care in the world. I only realised the mistake when I came out of the shop and saw the D-lock simply resting on top of the bike frame.
If any potential bike theives saw it, they probably figured it was a trap, since nobody could actually be that stupid.0
