Does anyone know someone who can put some braze ons (for rack mounting) onto an aluminium frame in the south cheshire area?
We need a bigger boat.

Unless its a very special frame I doubt it'll be worth it. It's fairly easy and inexpensive for steel frames, but I've never heard of anyone having this done to an aluminium frame.
I'd be interested to hear if you have any success though....More problems but still living....0 -

Are P- clips strong enough? I have lug holes for the bottom of the rack at the hub, just nothing for the top at the seat stay tubes. If P-clips are strong enough, then cool beansWe need a bigger boat.

P-clips would be at least as strong as the braze-on.
Alternatively if you have a 31.8mm diameter seat tube you could use one of these, as ride_whenever says:

EDIT: if I'd followed the link in Flash's post I'd have seen that these are discussed there.0
