Have just got in from trying out my new Mavic Avenir shoes after 12 months on floppy entry level Shimanos. I'm amazed and pleased at the performance hike of a properly stiff sole.
However I'm still using my original SPD pedals (M520 I think). Any views on whether I'm going to get a significant performance hike from moving to "proper" road pedals such as Look or Keo or the like?
