I might get a Condor Tempo to upgrade from my Pompino.

What's the (dis) advantage of fwd-facing dropouts and does the bike use deep-drop or standard callipers?

no disadvantage - but advantage is that you can get wheel off when guards are fitted, and standard callipers, but condor will build to any spec. I have one (and a pista for summer)
