Reccomend me some slightly thicker tires.

I'm in need of some thicker tires as my current 1.5's are just too unstable on the dry ground we've got at the moment. I'm quite tempted by a Panaracer Dart/Smoke combo, I'm looking for something in the 1.9-2.2 region for dryish trails with hardpack and sections of loose.

Specialized The Captain tyres! Don't know what anyone else thinks, but I bought a pair a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. They are 2.0s (you can get 2.2s as well).

would avoid those maxxis tyre suggested above too, they aren't really going to be that great on dry/hardpark terrian!

bloody marvelous imo abit heavy but they roll really well and quick and grip like poo to a carpet

I can recommend Conti Race Kings, been on them for a couple of weeks, fast and grippy, even when they slide they haven't let go....yet.

Totally agree with you there, got 2.2 on front and 2.0 on the rear. Great for trails and not too much rolling resistance on the road. Not the greatest in thick mud though
