Oh marvellous! I put the kettle on the hob once, turned on the gas and walked away...

Bearing in mind that this was an electric kettle and we hadn't had a hob kettle (with whistle!) for years and years...

The thing that stopped a real disaster was that the electric kettle was one one of those metal ones with rubber feet. The smell of burning rubber ain't so nice!***

*** Unless it's the burning of my tyres as I speed away at the front - in my dreams!!

I went to Sainsbury's, did all my shopping, got to the checkout and realised I'd left my wallet at home..... cue a Panama cigar moment.

  • Wondered why I got to work so faster than usual one day,. Then I released I hadn't pick my ruck sake.

Very embarrassed, amused the boss no end. Worked from home that day in the end nice ride mind you.
The doctor said I needed to start drinking more whiskey. Also, I’m calling myself ‘the doctor’ now

sake or sack? And how heavy is it that it makes a noticable difference to your commuting time!

Was it becasue you had no work clothes or becasue there was something vital in it for your work?

I NEED ANSWERS, GODAMMIT MAN, AND I NEED THEM NOW!!

Tired today as well. But didn't ride this morning stayed at the GF.

Has all my work clothes in and shower stuff, wasn't prepared to sit and work at my desk in Lycra all day. Borrowed laptop bag and went home.

Spelling is atrocious today. You should see the clangers I am doing in some the docs that I have done today

A couple of months ago, I weighed my rucksack, as packed for my normal commute. Came to about 11lb, which I thought was quite heavy, but it did have things like a pair of jeans, overshoes and tools in it. I do carry around some stuff I don't really need, but is handy to have with me "just in case"; like my portable hard drive.

I once came out of the supermarket with a full trolley load of shopping and baby daughter in car seat, put daughter in car; got home, opened boot to unload, oops - no shopping. I'd driven off and left the trolley load behind. At least I'd remembered the daughter.

I was tired last night or was it the beers? Anyhow had a cup ot tea at 10pm and made another one at 11:30 which was still on the worktop when I got up this morning with the teabag still in it though it was a little cooler than I normally drink my tea
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    ooh i've done that....
  • i did something when i was tired. i was installing a machine at philips components, took 6 months of 12 hour days, 7 days a week. on the bank holidays we could park on the inside car park. so i parked up. finished work 12 hrs later, went to where i normally parked, outside the gates, car not there. rang the police, waited in the security lodge, police came. then the security guy perks up and tells me that i'd parked my car inside today, highly embarrassing. police were very nice about it though.

Cyled in without my work mobile phone this morning but took my personal one which has no charge left. Only took my personal phone charger home with me yesterday so I could charge my phone up and now I don't know where it is. I do ahve my work phone charger with me though - but it doesn;t fit my personal phone. The upshot is although I have two phones, I am currently uncontactable by friends, family and work colleagues.

I always think if I went to bed earlier these things wouldn;t happen. :?

Very tired this morning, thought I was really slow getting in, realized when I'd got to work I'd forgotten the bike.

Last week my bike went in and forgot I was still in bed.

I poured ground coffee into my breakfast bowl yesterday morning. I don't usually make the coffee at work in the morning so it wasn't even part of my routine
