Hi there
I am looking for unusual cycling stories for Sky to help promote cycling in the media. Have you got an interesting story to tell? Maybe you found love on a bike, lost weight on a bike or set up a business because you were so passionate about cycling? At this stage I just need a quick phone chat and a jpeg. Please get in touch by Thursday May 14th if you are interested.

Without cycling I'd be in a wheelchair. Does that help?

    Can we nominate?

    DDD - if it wasn't for cycling he'd be a life-saving vigilante.
itboffin - if it wasn't for cycling he'd have normal legs and a lot more money

Oh, your story would be pretty good. Maybe try through the website/paper phoneline? It would be great if you got some publicity.

However, the time scale on this one suggests to me its a wee bit fake. Doesn't mean it is though!

Um, sorry for spamming a bit there.

Good plan. There must be some sort of office junior around if it is something for the weekend maybe? If it's for tomorrow though, maybe not...

If it's for the weeked though maybe it's okay? I just thought of that!

Yeah, also a bit odd that it would be a @yahoo email address. Probably a freelancer trying to sell a story using the 'sky' name for a bit of clout.

I spoke to this lady today, she was really nice and seems genuine, I will have to wait and see what comes of it, I do know she is looking for others (Ideally women now)

Problem is, most cyclists don't have 'quirky' or 'unusual' stories. We just ride bikes.

Simply riding a bike, particularly in London, makes us both "quirky" and "unusual".

No. Riding a bike in the nuddy makes you quirky.
