I've got a set of marzocchi 888 RCV's on my Kona stab, and i'm a little concerned by something. when i shake the front of the bike up and down, the fork moves about half an inch upwards and down. I don't know if this is just the first part of the travel being very soft so as to soak up small bumps etc. The sag is fine, and the fork behaves fine when im riding. I've tried adjusting the compression and rebound to no avail. Does this need looking at or am i just being paranoid?!

sounds normal. the weight of the lowers/wheel etc is compressing the fork.
